#Happy Tibetan New Year of Wood Snake

“Chemar” is an indispensable auspicious item for Tibetan people during major celebration ceremonies or when celebrating the Tibetan New Year. The elaborately crafted rectangular wooden box is divided by a partition, filled with roasted wheat grains and tsampa respectively, adorned with highland barley ears and butter sculptures, symbolizing longevity, harvest, and good fortune.
