On February 19, the regular round-trip commercial flight linking Lhasa and Hong Kong via Chengdu Tianfu began operation. The flight, operated by Tibet Airlines under the flight number TV9701/02, is scheduled to operate every Wednesday and Sunday, leaving Lhasa at 8:10 am, arriving in Hong Kong at 14:35 am, and then leaving Hong Kong at 15:45 am, arriving in Lhasa at 23:30 am.
The opening of this route will further enhance the functions and accessibility of Lhasa Konggar International Airport, enrich and improve Xizang's aviation network, as well as provide strong support for the region to expand its opening up, develop its cultural and tourism industry, and deepen exchanges and cooperation with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
In order to ensure the operation of the flight, Lhasa Konggar International Airport actively coordinates with the border inspection, customs, Tibet Airlines and other units to implement an integrated service operation mode, which effectively improves the efficiency of customs clearance, check-in, security check, and boarding.
