At 9:05 a.m. on January 7 this year, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Dingri County, Xigaze City, China's Xizang, causing significant casualties and widespread building collapses. To help affected residents relocate sooner, workers have been tirelessly constructing new settlements day and night in Senga Village, Dingri County. Notably, all reconstructed houses are being built to 8-degree seismic standards, with completion expected by late October. Efforts will be made to fully restore the functionality of basic public service facilities such as hospitals and schools, as well as infrastructure like transportation and water conservancy, within one year.
