Naropa (1012/1016-1100) one of the foremost Indian mahasiddhas (Great Adept; Tib. drupthop), is a key part of the transmission lineages of Kagyu Buddhism. Like most mahasiddhas, Naropa wears only a waistcloth, but can be distinguished by his relaxed posture and the skull cup cradled in his left hand.
