A very thin and long strip of buckwheat flour kept in wooden trough in Ura Ashi Lhamo festival. The Ashi Lham tradition has started to feature on the cultural programme lists when important functions are held in Bumthang. It was performed on the 8th day of the seventh month of the Bhutanese calendar to appease the local female deity known as Ashi Lham for the wellbeing of the village.
