cemetery, Pha bogn kha

This cemetery, located just E of Pha bong kha hermitage, was, before 1959, used exclusively by monks. The self-arisen stone image of the Buddha, located in the assembly hall of the Pha bong kha temple, is placed so that it overlooks this cemetery. The buddha is said to guarantee the passage to the pure land ('pho ba) of anyone brought to this cemetery.
